Job Description

Yolks is a multi award winning, busy daytime, breakfast and brunch restaurant. We currently operate two busy Vancouver locations, with our third location opening in the heart of downtown Vancouver. (Burrard and Davie) As such we are looking for a talented, knowledgeable and hardworking Restaurant Manager to join our team at Yolks on Davie, with daytime hours only (no nights!) in a growing company!

Running a restaurant is a balancing act – we are seeking an individual who will keep on top of the small things while focusing on the big picture. We believe that a clean, organized, and well run operations is the heart of a successful restaurant that patrons will want to visit again and again. The Restaurant Manager works beside the General Manager in assisting in the areas of budget control, quality of service and product and operational execution.


The responsibilities of the Restaurant Manager will include, but not be limited to:

- Assisting the General Manager in managing FOH staff while working with the culinary team to assist in maintaining a high level of service and food quality for our guests.
- Assisting the General Manager in meeting and exceeding budgetary targets set by the company, specifically, but not limited to, sales and labor targets at the restaurant.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and state of repair of the restaurant.
- Being proactive in improving operations and procedures within the restaurant.
- Maintaining and improving on our community reputation by exceeding customer expectations and going above and beyond to create an unforgettable experience for all of our guest.
- Being hands on at all time and setting a good example for the team.

Experience
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role
- Comprehensive food and beverage knowledge
- Computer literacy
- Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
- Knowledge of restaurant financials is an asset
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Team player
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
